New Beginnings: Week 1, DONE!

I DID IT!
I’ve completed Week 1 of New Beginnings for Reinvent for Lent! OMG!
Now, this may seem like a small achievement, but for me, it’s the start of a VERY important journey. A journey towards a new, healthier and balanced lifestyle! I honestly never realised how busy my life really was until I started following New Beginnings. My dad has always told me, ‘Your life is 100 mph!’ and that I need to slow down… I always roll my eyes and think he’s just being a bit of a bore.
 
Well, Dad, you were right… (Oooohhhh those words tasted far too bitter!)
 
So that’s one thing that doing Reinvent for Lent has forced me to analyse, how I use my spare time. I rarely make time for me, which is something that I certainly need to work on. So, personal mission No.1: Make more time for ME!
                       
Onto mission No.2. DO NOT allow my emotions to stop me doing what I know is good for me. On Day 7, the last day of my first week doing New Beginnings, I have to admit I felt really down. I suffer regularly from nasty migraines, and they tend to affect my mood. So I really, really, really didn’t fancy doing a workout, but a little voice in my head told me to ‘GET UP AND GET GOING! It will make you feel better, get you moving... Think of the amazing bath you can have after, that’s your reward!’
So, I did, and I tell you what, it made me feel AMAZING. It was probably the best thing I could have done, and a great way to finish off the first week of my NEW lifestyle!
 
For the first time in my life, I’ve also been documenting my week through my Instagram Stories. That’s been a completely different kind of challenge, but really fun! So you can now see all the best bits from my week in the video below, give it a cheeky watch 😏 
 
 
Ultimately, the journey so far has been insightful, challenging, but most importantly it's been really rewarding. I’ve already started to notice a few differences in my state of mind, I'm definitely chirpier in the morning, I feel energised, less bloated… And I cannot wait to continue on this journey with the help of all of my #RWLFitties.
