How many times have you gone into a shop and come out feeling so sh*t about yourself? A lot of us have, no matter what size or shape you are. Sadly, this feeling happens time and time again.
A lot of us girls revolve our goals and aims to fit into a certain dress size. Certain brands stitch their items differently to other brands so it can be a little disheartening when one size fits but you try the same size from another shop and you find your self reeeeaally squeezing your self into it. But let me tell you, it really doesn't matter...
I always promote for all girls to live a healthy and happy lifestyle. To feel comfortable in your own skin. And to always challenge yourself to keep your morale high. Thousands of my girls feel more in control of their lives, happy in their skin and confident with the decisions they make whether it be choosing a meal, working out outside or wearing a beautiful outfit.
We are often influenced and controlled by "I'm a 12 and need to try to fit into a 10 by next month so I'm not buying any clothes until I fit into a 10". We should just look at the item on the hanger and say "ok, I'm going to try this on and see whether I think it suits me". There's no point trying to squeeze into something because you're adamant that you're a specific size. Because in reality sizes are different in various shops. A size 8 in Topshop will most likely different to a size 8 in River Island. So try not to dishearten yourselves because of a number.
I sometimes buy oversized jumpers because of the style and look I am going for. I think more girls need to learn to wear something and know it fits right. Because, sizes change so much so we can't rely on them.
So, before you feel bad about not managing to squeeze into a specific size, just consider whether you are healthy and happy.
Remember - it looks different on everyone!
