💪🏼 How I lost over 6 stone following Results with Lucy! 😱

Sitting at my laptop weighing nearly 20 stone and a size 24, I had tried every single diet imaginable. I had lost weight with them all, but then I would feel better and have a treat meal; which would then turn into a treat weekend; a treat week; treat month. The weight would pile back on again and I would go back to square one.



I also suffer with PCOS so in order for me to lose weight I do need to follow a particularly strict way of eating as losing weight does not come easy to me. The dieting cycle I describe above, plays havoc on my body as well.

While researching weight loss surgery, I came across Results With Lucy and thought 'what have I got to lose?’, so after speaking to them and talking to them about my goals, I decided to sign up to to their number one fitness plan 'New Beginnings’.

New Beginnings is a 12 week, home fitness and food programme. Working out 4 times a week, eating clean, simple and delicious recipes! Basically, what we all know how to do anyway: eat less, move more! But it never works out like that does it?

This was the perfect plan for me because I work away a lot and also I just didn't have the confidence to join a gym. I had always been fairly active as I used to dance and always had personal trainers in the past but this was completely different! Every other night when I came home from work or in my hotel room, I would turn on my laptop, click play and workout. I am not going to lie, it was tough but very, very motivating at the same time. I was so big, I couldn't do certain moves but at least I was moving and trying. In the first few weeks my body was aching so much but it was a good feeling knowing that I had pushed myself. As each week came to an end, I was pushing myself more and more and was getting fitter and stronger. After the first 3 weeks, the swelling I'd always had in my knees from carrying the excess weight completely went!

Because each and every workout is an all over body workout, your entire shape changes day by day and for me, my body changed in proportionate way, so I could see that it was working.

Food wise, I was a fussy eater but again, I pushed myself to try new and different recipes each and every day. The recipes were quick to make, I don't think I have tried one where it has taken more than 20 minutes from start to finish. I find all the recipes are cheap to make and a lot of them you can batch cook so you can freeze and always be prepared with nutritious meals.

I was worried about eating out because I wanted to give it my all during the 12 weeks and with working away a lot, I wanted to be sure I could stick to the plan as much as I could. To assist with this, RWL provide an eating out guide for lots of high street restaurants so I just choose wisely using this guide. It also meant I could start being a little more social than I had been doing as I felt confident to eat out with my friends and make healthy choices.

The 12 weeks soon passed and at the end of this programme, I had lost a staggering 3 stone 5lbs and an overall inch loss of 38.5 inches!



The main benefits for me after completing this plan was that my skin tone had completely changed all over my body. It was more smooth and clear; those living with PCOS are more prone to bad skin but my face completely cleared up. At the beginning my face was red, puffy and I had such bad patchy spotty skin. I was sleeping a lot better with no more restless night and when I woke on a morning I wasn't bloated. When I went to bed on an evening, I didn't have my usual sore knees from a long day being on my feet.

The best thing about RWL is that it doesn't stop there! There are plenty of plans and workout programs aimed at varying fitness levels to get you to your goal!
