When starting out on a new workout program, it can be a little overwhelming 🤯 to know what equipment you might need. Here at Results with Lucy, we believe that just getting started is the most important step! ▶
You do not need to rush out a buy a plethora of exercise equipment, weights and fancy gimmicks. Generally, most of our workouts can be completed with little or no equipment. We advise as a basic start, that you invest in an exercise mat and a set of dumbbells suited to your weight preference. They must be heavy enough to challenge you, but light enough to allow you to perform the exercise with the correct form. Most of our members use a 2kg set of dumbbells to begin with and build up their strength and repetitions with these 💪🏽
If you don’t have any dumbbells, no problem! You are able to start without any equipment at all! Simply substitute dumbbells and workouts involving weights, for household items such as bottles of water or tins of food 🥫
Once you get a feel for the website and the type of workouts you might enjoy doing, then is the time to invest in other equipment. We offer workouts involving kettlebells, resistance bands, sliders, skipping ropes and much more!
With regards to our kettlebell workouts, we suggest starting with a 6kg and an 8kg. Some of the movements you will find easier with a lighter weight than another. If you are consistent and work hard to perfect your technique, you will soon build up your weight abilities with them! 🏋♂
We also offer a range of skipping workouts which I have loved filming for you all to enjoy! NO skipping rope? No problem! Just follow the jumping action and move your wrists and arms to the same motion! 💁♀
