Celeriac Mash

  • 1 whole celeriac chopped into cubes
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1chopped garlic clove
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated nutmeg
  • 1 handful thyme
  • Pinch salt and pepper

Cooking Directions

  1. Chop celeriac into cubes, chop onion and garlic and add to saucepan. Cover with water and cook until celeriac is soft. .
  2. Once cooked drain the water into a jug. With a hand blender mash the celeriac until soft.

  3. Add some of the drained water to the mash to loosen it if needed.

  4. Add thyme and nutmeg, salt and pepper and stir.
