- 1 whole celeriac chopped into cubes
- 1 chopped onion
- 1chopped garlic clove
- 1/2 teaspoon grated nutmeg
- 1 handful thyme
- Pinch salt and pepper
- Chop celeriac into cubes, chop onion and garlic and add to saucepan. Cover with water and cook until celeriac is soft. .
Once cooked drain the water into a jug. With a hand blender mash the celeriac until soft.
Add some of the drained water to the mash to loosen it if needed.
Add thyme and nutmeg, salt and pepper and stir.
